STM’s New Prestige Project: ‘Turkish Type Attack Craft’

STM, which stands out with its successful naval projects carried out in recent years, within the scope of the ‘Turkish Type Fast Patrol Boat Project’ which was initiated to meet the needs of the Turkish Navy undertook design activities.

STM has gained significant experience in the design, construction and modernization activities carried out since 2006 to meet the needs of the Turkish Navy and the navies of friendly and allied countries, and is getting ready to use the experiences gained from MİLGEM ADA Class Corvette, MİLGEM I Class Frigate, Test and Training Ship, Turkish Navy New Type Submarine, AY Class and PREVEZE Class Submarine Modernization projects Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker, Pakistan Agosta 90B Submarine Modernization to the ‘Turkish Type Fast Patrol Boat’ Project.

In relation to the subject, President of the T.C. Presidential Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR made a statement to SavunmaSanayiST.com, “Our Turkish Type Fast Patrol Boat Project, for which a Design Contract has been signed between our Presidency and STM, will make our navy stronger.” Turkish Type Fast Patrol Boat will contribute to the protection of our interests in our seas with their effective maneuverability, high strike power and national systems they will carry.”

The ‘Turkish Type Fast Patrol Boat’, whose design activities will be carried out by STM, will have an important force multiplier effect for the Turkish Navy, which actively uses, and has a strong fleet of fast patrol boat platforms. This platform, designed by STM, will also be the first unique fast patrol boat platform of the Turkish Naval Forces Command.
