Another important stage has been achieved in the serial production of GÖKDOĞAN and BOZDOĞAN Air-to-Air Missiles developed by Turkiye with indigenous capabilities.
Within the scope of the GÖKTUĞ Project, which was initiated by the Presidency of the Presidency of Republic of Turkiye Defence Industry Agency (SSB) to meet the needs of the Turkish Air Force (TurAF), another important stage has been reached. GÖKDOĞAN and BOZDOĞAN Air-to-Air Missiles developed within the scope of the project showed great success during the recent launching tests.
Commenting on the verification test, SSB President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün said:
“The design verification tests of our BOZDOĞAN and GÖKDOĞAN missiles have been completed. Our missiles are now ready for acceptance tests. In the next stage, we will carry out our tests with warhead ammunition and offer them to the use of our Air Forces. The security of the Turkish air space is entrusted to our defence industry.”

GÖKTUĞ Project
The GÖKTUĞ Project Contract was signed between the Ministry of Defence R&D and TÜBİTAK SAGE on 14 December 2012 in line with the air-to-air missile requirements of the Turkish Air Force and was transferred to the SSB in November 2016.
Within the framework of the current GÖKTUĞ Project Contract, it is planned to design and develop, qualify, and deliver prototypes of missiles in two different configurations for F-16 PO-I aircraft, namely In-Vision (BOZDOĞAN-WVRAAM) and Beyond-Vision (GÖKDOĞAN-BVRAAM).
In line with the needs of the TurAF, the “GÖKTUĞ F-16 PO-III Integration and Low Scale Initial Production Procurement Project Contract”, which was prepared for the integration of BOZDOĞAN and GÖKDOĞAN Missiles into F-16 PO-III aircraft, was signed on 07 July 2023.
