President Nayib Bukele of the Republic of El Salvador, who is on an official visit to Turkey, announced that his country is interested in Turkish defence industry products.
Within the scope of the visit of President of the Republic of El Salvador Bukele to Turkey, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the defense industry was signed between the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of El Salvador.
Bukele, who held a joint press conference with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, announced that they discussed Turkish defense industry products with President Erdoğan.
“We’ll talk with some companies tomorrow. Maybe El Salvador’s first satellite will be thanks to the Turkish technology. There is so much to do, so much to see. We discussed the procurement of UAVs and other equipment in the defense industry with President Erdogan,” Bukele said.

President Erdogan, on the other hand, announced that the leader of El Salvador will pay a visit to Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) tomorrow.
TAI has important capabilities in the satellite field. GSATCOM company, which was established in Ankara with the partnership of TAI and Argentina-based INVAP, will export HTS Communication Satellite technologies with High Output Power to Argentina.
