The qualification tests of T129 ATAK Phase-II Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter are successfully completed by Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc.
The qualification tests of T129 ATAK Phase-II Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. are successfully completed as a result of successful studies carried out by Turkish Aerospace engineers. The delivery of the first T129 ATAK Phase-II helicopter to the Turkish Land Forces Command is expected to take place in 2021.
ATAK Phase-II helicopter has electronic warfare systems such as Radar Warning Receiver System, Radio Signal Jammer etc. and 9681 V/UHF high band radios that were not available in ATAK Phase-I. From the ATAK Phase-II configuration, 21 helicopters will be delivered in the first phase.
So far, Turkish Aerospace delivered a total of 57 ATAK helicopters, 9 of which including T129 EDH and 48 T129 Phase-I configuration. After the Land Forces Command and the Gendarmerie General Command, it will deliver the first helicopter to the General Directorate of Security in the near future.
Turkish Aerospace already has two different attack helicopter projects named the T629 and the Heavy Class Attack Helicopter.
