TUBITAK Defense Industry Research and Development Institute (SAGE) has blazed the trail with products such as SOM Cruise Missile, Penetrator Bomb (NEB), Wing Assisted Guidance Kit, GÖKTUĞ Air-to-Air Missile Family and Precision Guidance Kit, continues to work in the missile technology field in Turkey to break new grounds.
According to the information obtained, TÜBİTAK-SAGE has already made significant progress with Ramjet Propulsion System and Trisonic Wind Tunnel. Regarding the subject, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL stated “TUBITAK SAGE, begins its investments this year with Turkey’s first supersonic (trisonic) wind tunnel, and will establish a significant infrastructure that will meet Turkey’s needs. The works on TÜBİTAK SAGE’s Ramjet are also continuing. The Ramjet project’s contract has been signed and we are currently working on it. The project continues very successfully, but the most important thing to develop a Ramjet is the infrastructure. Infrastructure work at TÜBİTAK SAGE has been completed by 90%. We can say that our country will have supersonic missiles with Ramjet very soon.”
