The first deliveries of TOGAN UAV, developed by STM, have been successfully exported. TOGAN has been exported to two different countries in Africa.
TOGAN, the Autonomous Multi-Rotor Reconnaissance UAV System, has recently entered the inventory of Turkish security units. After its successful missions in the field, TOGAN has been exported to two different African countries.
According to the information received by SavunmaSanayiST.com; STM has passed the critical stage on the way to export by delivering TOGAN to an unnamed African country. The TOGAN UAVs, which have successfully passed the acceptance tests by the user authority, have entered the inventory of this African country.
On the other hand, STM is expected to start delivering TOGAN UAVs to other countries in the near future.
Can be used by a individual soldier
Designed to perform reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence missions at the tactical level, TOGAN can be carried and operated by individual soldier.
The UAV, which has its own flight control system and mission planning software, can be the eye of kamikaze UAVs such as KARGU thanks to its target acquisition systems.
Day and night mission capability
TOGAN’s 3-axis electro-optical system provides up to 30x zoom and can be operated in day and night conditions. TOGAN has a range of 6.5 to 10 kilometers, a top speed of 72 km/h, a maximum takeoff weight of 7 kg and an operating altitude of 1000 m (AGL).
The UAV is controlled with a joystick via a 10.1″ tablet.
With the Mission Switching feature, if the battery of one TOGAN drops below a certain level, the other TOGAN can automatically take over the mission, providing the user with uninterrupted operation.
