Turkey’s defence company Baykar on Tuesday shared the designs of the unmanned fighter jet project.
In a Twitter post on July 17, the company said: “Holiday gift loading. Wait for July 20th.”
On July 20, which coincides the first day of Eid al-Adha, Baykar said: “We are sharing the conceptual design images of our Combat Unmanned Aircraft System (#MİUS) project for the first time.”
On the footage, it was seen that the 5th generation vehicle will have a turbofan engine, dual vertical stabilizers, canards and digital camouflage.
The unmanned jet is intended to be operated by TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship as well, per designs.
Selcuk Bayraktar, the company’s chief technology officer, said they aim to conduct the maiden flight of the jet in 2023.
