Bayraktar TB2 Disinformation from Armenia

Armenian Ministry of Defense shared some images, claiming that the Bayraktar TB2 type Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle belonging to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was shot down.

Shushan Stepanyan, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, announced that 5 unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to Azerbaijan were shot down by the Armed Forces of Armenia. In the images shared by Stepanyan regarding the issue, it was seen that the Bayraktar TB2 UAV had some parts of the CMX-15 FLIR system and the HAROP-type Loitering Munition. However, the fact that there was only one FLIR for Bayraktar TB2 in the images and the absence of debris has been a matter of discussion.

It seems that the FLIR system in question belonged to a Bayraktar TB2 that fell in Syria or Libya, and the parts related to HAROP belong to the remaining parts of a system that targeted the Armenian Army.

During the military operation launched by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the Karabakh region on September 27, 2020, much military equipment belonging to the Armenian Army has been destroyed. The systems most of which were destroyed by Bayraktar TB2 drone and HAROP Loitering Munition are missile launch vehicles belonging to the S-300 Air Defence Missile System battery, radar units, short-range air defence systems, medium-range air defence systems, air defence early warning radars, tanks, armored vehicles, logistic vehicles, and armory.

It is known that the approximate value of the equipment destroyed only by the drones is higher than 1 billion USD.
